The exotic taste of Indian spices is new for most Americans while Indian restaurants have managed to bring out a blend of multiple cuisines in their offerings. Indian cuisine makes use of exotic spices such as turmeric, asafetida and the like. Most of the spices are used with both vegetables as well as meat which makes it quite tasty and full of flavors. Every Indian state has its own style of cuisine which makes Indian cuisine quite rich and varied. Many of the restaurants serve flatbreads termed as naans which are baked and cooked in traditional clay ovens referred to as the tandoors. Indian restaurants Westchester has its own share of restaurants which are quite famous in that location and also its neighborhood.

Delhi is a place where food is an integral part of life there, but the blend of scrumptious junk food and rich Punjabi food makes it special. The flavors are distinct in Delhi and that is what makes the food special. Not many restaurants in US, especially Yonkers feature Delhi food although there are some who are experts in serving them. Both vegetarian and non-veg food is served at such places. North indian cuisine is popular in Yonkers while South Indian food is trying to establish its popularity in many places. There are very rare Indian restaurants which offer late dining hours although lunch and dinner buffets are regular in most places. Some places are even ready to make food based on the diner’s requests while some tend to change their menu on a daily basis and stick to a limited array of dishes everyday. Tandoori dishes including garlic shrimp is a favorite in Central America, while curries of various types including chicken curry and lamb curry are known to be delicacies in some places.
